I Don’t Have a Baby, But…

walmart

Yes, you heard right folks, I don’t have a baby, but I definitely found a cute diaper bag that I want to buy! If you have not caught on by now, you will see that I am a crazy bargain shopper with an addiction to deals, so when I saw this delightful brown and sage green striped diaper bag on sale on my favorite bargain shopping forum, it really caught my eye. Nevermind that I am nowhere near beginning to have children, but I am thinking that it looks so chic that I can use it as a tote for the beach or what have you.

Seriously, it is so ingenious because diaper bags have an unnecessary (or necessary, how would I know?) amount of pockets, which is great for a little day trip outdoors or to the beach because you can stash your sunglasses, sunblock, book… and the list goes on and on. I just have a hard time passing up something so cheap – $12! – yet so stylish, so I think I am going to find a creative way to use this. That, or save it till I have a baby – hopefully it will still be in style then!

I Think I Can Rock These

I am always looking for something new and fun to wear, so when I came across these crazy/cool knee-high socks on my favorite bargain shopping site, I went wild! You actually get a 2 pack for only $4.88, which is a sweet steal of a deal, and they are black with pink toes and heels, as well as pink decorative hearts. I have seen many young girls wearing crazy knee-high socks with cute little skirts out and about, but I am still contemplating whether or not I can pull that off. Until then, I am thinking that I can wear these firstly, around my house to keep my tootsies warm, while still looking stylish, and secondly, in the winter time under long pants so I never get cold!

The whole point of the matter is that I am always loving fun accessories, and there is no way that I was going to pass up spending less than five dollars on two pairs of fun socks. Maybe if I get the guts to dress as the tweens do, I could possibly start a new trend for the 20 and 30 somethings out there who also want to wear wild knee-high socks with cute jean skirts. Though that seems completely unlikely, it really does give me something to think about…

Ommmm

Okay, okay, I am not technically practicing yoga at the moment, but I know that I would do it if I had the right pants. How pathetic is that? I envision myself wearing some cute yoga pants that make me look fits, yet stylish, while I do a perfect downward dog. Is that too much to ask? I have dabbled in yoga practice before, thinking that it would be an easy way to improve flexibility, but the old man that was leading the class truly kicked my butt. I was dripping sweat by the time I left, and I felt like I had used muscles that I had never used before.

But I am not one to ever give up, so when I found a delightful deal for yoga pants for $6.99 online on my favorite bargain shopping site, I knew that they were too good to pass up. Not only can I wear them for a quick trip to the store because they are so cute, but I can also wear them to yoga class — duh — whenever and wherever I choose to practice it. Hey, it’s going to happen!

Ulta-mate Deal!

ulta

Do you know what I’m getting at here? I have always been a big fan of Ulta, so I usually like to check out this beauty superstore first when I am looking for great deals on makeup — which is pretty much like all the time. I think that the Ulta brand has really great makeup that is comparable to other leading brands, so I was happy to see a post on my favorite bargain shopping forum showing what a great deal they are having right now. Right now, you can buy two and get two free on any Ulta makeup, which of course includes that whole equal or lesser value stipulation. But still!

This is a really great deal if you are looking for bronzers, nail polish, mascara… I seriously need to stock up! They have a bunch of new summer shades, and I am the type of girl that always likes to find an excuse to buy new makeup like — I don’t know — a new season? Let me tell you, ladies, that summer is an excellent excuse to use to buy new cosmetics. I will see you there!

Are You On Board With Mineral Makeup Yet?

If you are a living and breathing the woman with an interest in beauty, then I am sure that you have heard about the mineral makeup craze sweeping our country. It is just as popular as swine flu, yet so much better for you! The truth of the matter is that mineral makeup cosmetics are actually made of all natural ingredients so that they will give you a beautiful look that is good for your skin. This got me to thinking that there has to be some wonderful mineral makeup out there that will give me more bang for my buck, meaning cheap, cheap, cheap!

I scoped out my fave bargain shopping forum, and I was lucky enough to find a sweet deal on Mineral Effects Mineral Makeup on sale for $10! This is a mineral powder that will give you excellent coverage, and as you may or may not know, some of the bigger mineral makeup brands can run you up to $60 for one of these babies. All I am thinking about is how great the makeup goes on, how natural I look, and what I am going to spend my extra $50 on??

Fun in the Sun

The time has come for me to begin shopping for my bathing suit of the year, and if you know me at all, you will know that I am a crazy mad bargainista hunter. The good news is that means that I have found a sweet, sweet deal on a beautiful swimsuit that I am going to feel confident rocking poolside every day of this summer season. I have already pictured myself luxuriously floating with a drink in hand on a sunny afternoon in a beautiful pool. The only issue with this fantasy is the fact that I really don’t have any of these components to make it happen, but I do have a pretty nice pool at my apartment where I can wear my new swimsuit when I fancy.

I, of course, found this wonderful Xhilaration bandeau top bikini for only $14.00 on my local bargain shopping forum. A steal!! Each piece of the bikini is only $14.00, and the bottom has a little skirt ruffle over it that looks fun and playful, not like something your grandmother would wear to the pool. Seriously, check it out! Or, check me out looking fabulous wearing it… Your choice.

Summer is Upon Us!

Do you have an upcoming trip to the beach where you don’t want to look like a pasty white zombie? I feel you. Your best bet is 1) to wear plenty of sunblock so you don’t accidentally burn yourself as I always do, and 2) invest in some great sunless tanning spray so that you look like you have been laying at the pool for ages, without the leathery skin, of course. You have to be really careful when selecting your self tanning spray because we all know how horrific is to look orange and streaky like that old lady on Something About Mary.

All that being said, I was of course shopping around for some delightful bargains, and I stumbled upon a great deal on self tanning body spray for $7.95 at my favorite bargain shopping site. Let me just say that it’s so much better to use an actual spray because it is going to give you a very even application without having creepy orange hands from rubbing in a bronzing cream. Now all you have to do is just picture yourself looking golden on the beach and sipping a daiquiri. Is that too much to ask?

Pamper Your Peepers

lumene I have to admit that lately my eyes have been looking puffy and busted. I am not really sure what the reason behind this is because I feel like I am getting a lot of shut eye, but I have been forced to search for other options. I was actually perusing a bargain shopping forum, and I found this delightful little deal on a Lumene Time Freeze Instant Cooling Eye Stick on sale for $14.07! I decided to take this baby for a spin and test drive this eye treatment because they said it was dermatologist recommended. I am always a sucker for a good recommendation.

Basically, you put this on your skin every night after cleansing to soothe and renew your face, and then it is like “magic”. I do have to admit that it’s pretty darn close because I am really feeling like I look a lot fresher in the mornings. I am no longer scaring the neighbors as I run out to grab the paper before my morning coffee, so with that fact in mind, this was a steal!

Tame Those Unruly Brows!

Brothers and sisters of the world, I am here to say that it is time to act against the unibrows and other scraggly eyebrows floating around that we see out there. If you fit that profile, please don’t be offended but know that there are options out there for you! Right now, I just happened to be scoping out my local bargain shopping forum, which had a really great deal on brow shaping scissors and a brow shaping brush for only $16.20. What this means to you is that if you are struggling to tame your unruly brows, then there are some options out there for you- like using these cool tools to comb and snip those stray brow hairs. Give your brows a haircut, if you will!

The easiest way to do this is to comb your brow hair upward and then trim it evenly with your scissors. Then you can comb them back into place, and you will notice that they looked smooth and sleek and give your face a polished look. Goodbye, caveman — hello, picture-perfect model-esque features!

Beauty is Pain?

I know that there are many ladies out there who have tried some not so successful home remedies for hair removal, so let’s see a show of hands. Hmm… Well, as the pro bargainista that I am, I found a wonderful home waxing kit on sale for the brave women (or men!) who would like to fight the fuzz in your own home. I have to say that it may be best to have a glass of wine and include a friend on this one so that you take the edge off and have the backup support that you may need, sad to say.

This wax kit is a gem that I found on a local bargain shopping forum for only $8.49, so if you are factoring in all the lip and bikini waxes that you have ever gotten, I think that it’s well worth the dough. It also removes the hair by the bulb and the root so over time, you are dramatically reducing your hair growth because it is killing the follicle. I am pretty much going on the motivation that I want those little suckers to die, but hey- whatever helps you sleep at night!
